What has Luc been up to lately?
January 26, 2007 – 1:05 pmI am utilizing the WordPress Architecture to develop a community for professional web people to submit articles and promote what it is that they know to a growing audience. Keep in mind that this is only one goal of the site and I have a couple others that I will be releasing as the site builds and grows over time. I am looking for a few things currently for this project…
1) Web Designers & Developers – The reason for this is that the service side of this business is based on helping companies maintain their online environments. I am moving away from a development based business to a more administrative service offering. I still want to offer visitors to the site a solid list of top developers and designers which will be showcased in WebmasterFarms DEV Network. 2) Contributors – As with running any great online presence you realize sooner or later that no man or woman for that matter is an island. I’ve got a lot of respect for professionals that know their stuff. I am looking for professionals in the following areas…
- SEO, Online Advertising, Online Marketing
- Graphic Development and Design
- PHP Development/Coding
- mySQL Development
- ASP/ASP.NET Development/Coding
Basically I would be looking to allow people who already Blog to post content from their sites on WebmasterFarms linking back to their site, in essence creating a knowledge share of information for the audience.
I am taking a long-term approach towards developing this site because it is an area of business that is growing and becoming more sophisticated with each passing year. I’ve learned so much over the past 3 years of working online and I only see that continuing.
Outside of that I am back in school part time studying currently. Human Resources Management at McMaster is a pretty interesting course and for anyone thinking about someday building a business I’d say it’s a course that couldn’t hurt you as you start off to achieve such a goal because people make or break an organization. So in short, 2007 is off to an interesting start this year.
