Skype your brains out till the 31st of December

I just received a friendly reminder today that SkypeOut services for FREE are ending on December 31, 2006.  After that time a $0.021 USD charge will apply when making a call to a landline.

I’ve used Skype a bit for business and personal over the past year and I’ve only ever had limited problems with it.  From what I understand, Skype In services will remain free for the immediate future.  For those of you new to Skype, Skype In, simply means that both parties on a Skype have a Skype account whereas SkypeOut means that a Skype user is phoning a landline when making a call.  Sounds like I’ll have to get more people hooked up to Skype to save on long distance
