New ideas give way to new business
August 25, 2006 – 5:06 amLately i’ve had a change of heart with the looks of CommerceCubes and where and how this will function. I’ve always wanted to have CommerceCubes as the flagship site because it encompasses so much of my interests related to the web, e-commerce, m-commerce, marketing and the list goes on. I love what i do here but it is really more of a value-oriented site.
I am underway developing a new service business aptly named ‘BizCandy‘ (www.bizcandy.com) and i am looking for some hot graphic developers to help me with this. This idea came about after reading one of Yaro’s articles and it got me thinking about this actually and i spent the last few days weighing the option of starting this service. I didn’t want to start a service that already exists and with BizCandy i think i’ve got something that is going to grow nicely over time and isn’t like anything you’ll see thats out there today. Yaro’s Article about “Price Points” is the perfect example of what most if not all entrepreneurs and business owners go through and steps around it, through it or over it.
The idea behind ‘BizCandy‘ is to provide a system for people to get graphic development done for their business. Most times people who use the services of a graphics developer usually get a quote. I’ve found a way to get away from the quoting model because nothing kills a business at times like quotes. If you show up to buy something you don’t want to have to wait around for some to tell you how much it costs. CommerceCubes is really a business that currently runs on quotes because most of the coding/programming projects done here are custom. I want to get away from doing business like this because it isn’t working as good as it could and most people showing up to this site probably get confused if they are looking for pricing.
Expect to see BizCandy soon and i am sure it will pop up in more posting on here as i finish developing the site.
